SG-LOK Korea Malaysia Supplier/Distributor

Features

SG-LOK tube fittings have been specifically designed for use on instrumentation, process and control systems and equipment employed in chemical, petroleum, power plant, ship building, semiconductor and solar industries. SG-LOK tube fittings could also be used in applications of other fields where very high quality tube fittings are required.

Construction

SG-LOK tube fittings are composed of body, nut, front ferrule and back ferrule. When the nut is screwed forward, the back ferrule advances the front ferrule along the taper of the body, resulting in a tight grip on the tube and no leaks.

Materials

SG-LOK tube fittings are available in various kinds of materials.  Straight fittings are machined from cold finished bar stock and shaped fittings from forgings.

Thread Information

NPT Tapered Pipe Thread NPT (National Pipe Thread) is based on ANSI B1.20.1.

International Organization for Standard (ISO 7/1) Tapered (PT) Equivalent to BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper Thread), DIN 2999, JIS B0203.

International Organization for Standard (ISO 228/1) Parallel(PF) Equivalent to BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel Thread), DIN ISO228/1, JIS B0202.

Gasket or O-ring is normally used to seal into the parallel female threaded components.

Installation Instruction

1. Fully insert the tube into the fitting and against the shoulder.

2. Rotate the nut finger-tight.

3. Mark the nut at the 6 o’clock position with pencil or scribe.

4. While holding the fitting body steady, tighten the nut 1-1/4 turns to the 9 o’clock position.

5. The above applies to all fittings from 1/4″to 1″ (6mm to 25mm). Fittings from 1/16″to 3/16″(2mm to 4mm), only 3/4 turn is required.

Reassembly

Simply insert tube assembly into fitting body, tighten nut to the original position as indicated by the previous mark, then tighten slightly with a wrench.
